I purchased this in the weeks leading up to 2018 IMTX. After the purchase, I told Chance I would be doing Texas and he was kind enough to instruct me to wear the top under my wetsuit if I could as it would be difficult to get on when wet. Well, the race turned out to be wetsuit legal so I swam and rode in the top and it worked like a charm. I didn't have to worry about getting too much sun on my arms as the sleeves acted as arm coolers. I hosed them down with water at every aid station and it stayed damp and cool much longer than if I had nothing there which was refreshing.
I ended up running in a Fusion tank top which I changed into in T2 because I knew I would want more breathing room on the run. Both items I would purchase again without hesitation!
I wore this top for the first time in an Ironman. It kept me warm when it was cool outside and cool when it was hot out. I have no idea how that works; it just does. I wear it now in every 5K, 10K, 13.1 or 26.2 where I need temperature or sun protection. When it's less than 70 degrees, I won't run in anything else. Period. It fits tight. It's supposed to. It's a second skin. I see other reviews that would like a pocket, but the pocket would defeat the design of the top and make it saggy in the back. I wore this for the Boston Marathon, NY, Berlin and Disney marathons -- it dries out quickly enough that you can wear it for a race one morning, wash it, and be completely confident it will be dry for the race the following morning.
Long Rides and even runs at the beach cool off really nice with this TOP.
A must if you are a TIMETRIAL cyclist, or just a long distance rider.
LOVED IT. STRONGLY RECOMMEND IT.
Love this top to ride in to protect from the sun. Would love it more if it had pockets in rear. Runs smalls
